一家公司非法自邻国马来西亚进口超过2.5吨的新鲜蔬菜,遭新加坡食品局(SFA)罚款7500元。

当局于昨日(7月3日)发文告指出,农粮与兽医局(AVA,新加坡食品局前身)官员在今年3月,在Gold Horse Enterprise有限公司自马国进口的蔬菜中,检测到未经申报和少申报的新鲜蔬菜,总重量达2585公斤。

当局在发给《亚洲新闻台》的电子邮件中指出,查获的蔬菜包括有韭菜、辣椒、葱、芥菜、薄荷、枸杞、四季豆、菜心、甜玉米、日本小黄瓜和西葫芦。

所有的非法货物都被扣押和销毁。

唯恐造成食品安全风向

当局指出,非法进口食品来源不明,还会造成食品安全的风险。

“在新加坡,进口食品必须符合新加坡食品局的要求和食物安全标准。食品只能由持牌的进口商进口,每批货物必须申报,并附上有效的进口许可证。”

至于被判定触犯非法进口食品罪的人或公司,将被罚款不超过一万元,或者面对不超过三年的监禁。
